We are a bit embarrassed to admit this, but what the heck. We don't know much about Lisbon, except for one great restaurant and a hotel NOT to go to.
A limited visit in Lisbon wasn't planned, but that's what happens when you find a place you like and just can't seem to leave. (See Cascais)
For now, Lisbon will always be that place where we met our good friends Portia and Brett who were on a surprise anniversary trip. We were such the jet-setters. Zooming in, dining, drinking, zipping out--and you thought that we were backpacking!
We did glimpse some wonderful neighborhoods, exquisite architecture and fantastic shops and would definitely put Lisbon on the list to "go back".
We'll try to remember the hotel that we would NOT go back to and post it. A lesson in reconfirming your reservation no less than 5 times, especially in the summer months. |
