| This seaside town just outside of Lisbon turned out to be one of our favorite places to stay in Portugal. It reminded us of living in Laguna Beach--small town community that is close enough to every major attraction. When we stumbled into town, we weren't quite sure where our pre-booked hotel was, but it didn't matter since the women at the tourist office refused to show us where it was. She claimed it wasn't fit for staying. Instead she directed us to the home of Francisco and Mary. |

| 35 euro per night bought us the top floor of their house and a personal tour guide. Our planned three day stay turned into six. In fact we even bypassed the sights of Lisbon to enjoy our beach living in Cascais. Highly recommended! |
